About Brian J. O'Hara
Brian J. O’Hara has been a sole practitioner with offices in River Forest, Illinois for over 30 years. His practice is concentrated in representing individuals, partnerships, trusts, and small businesses in every aspect of real estate-related transactions. Brian is a seasoned attorney with years of experience in the purchase and sale of single-family homes, condominiums, apartment buildings, commercial spaces, new developments and condominium/town home conversions. In addition to his real estate practice, Brian also represents parents, minors, foster parents, and others in juvenile court as a member of the Conflict Panel of the Cook County Juvenile Court since 1989. Also included in Brian’s practice is general civil litigation, and estate work.
Brian graduated Cum Laude from Loyola University of Chicago with a B.A. in Political Science. He completed his J.D. at Northwestern University School of Law in 1980. After law school, Brian worked at a downtown law firm representing Labor Union clients and ERISA trustees in federal court trials and at the Illinois State Circuit and Appellate courts. In early 1988, Brian began his own practice.
In addition to his practice, Brian is also involved in several civic and community organizations. He is also a member of the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce. He serves as a Community Member reviewing medical research protocols for the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine IACUC Committee. Brian takes pride in his volunteer work for the Chicago Area Alternate Education League (CAAEL) as a fundraiser and board member. CAAEL provides academic and athletic intramural activities and events for students attending alternative schools.
